What We Are Doing in Our Classroom

In science we are learning about the Earth, moon, and beyond. If you go to my Gradebook Wizard Webpage and click on the Science Websites page, you will find all the standards and indicators we are covering. Also that page has some links to great activities to practice the concepts. There is so much to learn about the universe!

We are writing about what Avon Lake would look like 100 years from now. This is a follow-up activity to Tuck Everlasting where Mae and Tuck returned to Treegap after 100 years. Students have such good ideas about what Avon Lake might look like. The writing is stressing paragraph development, focus, sentence structure, and vocabulary.

In November we will be taking a field trip to the Great Lakes Science Center. We will attend a demonstration from NASA and see the Hubble in the Omnimax Theatre.
