Chapters 19-20 Questions

Chapter Nineteen
Why was Winnie suspicious of the man in the yellow suit?
What connection is there between the Tuck family and the man in the yellow suit?
What tune did the man in the yellow suit hear near the Foster cottage that convinced him that he had finally stumbled onto the "family that didn't grow older"?
What caused Mae's face to drain of all color?

Why might Tuck be envious of the man lying on the ground?

    The tune that the man heard near the Fosters cottage convinced him even more because when the man in the yellow suit was little his grandmother had a frined named Anna and shes Miles's daughter and she had a music box that is now Mae's.
    Chapter 19
    The scene at the end of the chapter is in the Tucks hose when the man in the yellow suit is taking back Winnie to her parents.
    Chapter 20
    The reason why Mae hit the man because he was taking him when he had no right to.
    Chapter 20
    The serious dilemma that occured to Mae is being hanged because the man is dying because she shot him. So shes being hanged, but shes not going to die because she lives for ever.

  2. Chapter 19. What caused Mae`s face to drain of all color?
    Mae`s face drained of all color because the man in the yellow suit heard the Tuck`s story and also heard every word.
    Chapter 19. Describe the scene at the end of the chapter.
    The scene at the end of the chapter was Mae shooting the forgotten shotgun outside at the man in the yellow suit to rescue Winnie from being taking away by the man in the yellow suit.
    Chapter 20. What reson did Mae give for hitting the man?
    The reson Mae gave for hitting the man in the yellow suit was he was taking the child away.
    Chapter 20. Why might Tuck be envious of the man lying on the ground?
    Tuck was envious at the man lying on the ground like a starving man looking through a window at a banquet.

  3. chapter19 1. The man in the yellow suit claimed he would sell the spring water.
    2. The last scene of chapter 19 was Mae shooting the shotgun at the back of the man with the yellow suits head right when the constable got there.
    chapter20 1. The reason that Mae gave for hitting the man was because he was dragging the Winnie across her will.
    2. The constable wared if the man in the yellow suit die it would be the gallows for them.

    1.Winnie was so suspicus of the man in the yellow suit because she rememberd that he was folowing the tucks and her in the wood and he probably found out about it.

    2.The connection with the tuck's and the man in the yellow suit was about the story that the tucks told winnie and he was trying to make it seem that he did'nt hear the story but he did.

  5. 1.Winnie was suspicious about the man in the yellow suit because he just kept just kept on saying a claimed that he would sell the spring waters.
    2.At the end of the chapter Mae holds a shotgun at the back of the man in the man in the yellow suit and Mae pulls the trigger and the man in the yellow suit falls flat on his face.
    1.The reason Mae held the shotgun to his head because he threatend to sell the spring water so people can know that you can live forever.
    2.The serious dilemma is that the secret would be that the secret would be out because Mae would not die.

  6. Chapter19 question4 Mae's face drained of color because when the man in the yellow suit came into the Tuck's house he told them how he heard the story of the spring.

    chapter19 question5 The scene at the end of the chapter was at the Tuck's house with the man in the yellow suit on the ground and the constable coming out of the pine trees.

    chapter20 question1 Mae hit the man in the yellow suit on the back of the head because he was taking Winnie away.

    chapter20 question4 The serious dilemma that will occur if Mae is hanged or but in jail is that she will never die and people will know that she can live forever.

    Mae's face drained of all color because the man in the yellow suit was talking about her music box and how he had heard it in the woods.

    What did the man in the yellow suit claim he would do with the spring?
    The man in the yellow suit claimed he was going to bottle and sell the magic spring water.

    What reason did Mae give for hitting the man?
    The reason Mae hit the man was because he was taking Winnie against her will, also because she couldn't let him give out the secret of the spring.

    Why would Tuck be envious to the man on the ground?

    Tuck would be envious to the man on the ground because he wanted to die because he thinks living forever is a curse.

    The man in the yellow suit is planning on selling the water from the spring to make a lot of money.

    The end of the chapter has Mae hitting the man with the butt of the gun because she was panicing.

    Chapter 20

    Tuck is envious of the man lying on the ground because he could die and that is what Tuck would like.

    If Mae were to be hung she would not die and everyone would think she was a witch.

    1.) What caused Mae's face to drain of all color? The reason Mae's face drained of all color was that the man in the yellow suit had been following them all along and heard the entire story.
    2.) What did the man in the yellow suit claim he would do with the spring? He was going to sell the water from the spring but only sell it to certain people who deserved it.

    Chapter 20:
    1.) What reason did Mae give for hitting the man? Mae hit the man because the man in the yellow suit was taking Winnie home against her will.
    2.) What serious dilemma will occur if Mae Tuck is either placed in jail or hanged? If Mae Tuck was hung they would figure out she wouldn't die; and if she went to prison, she wouldn't get old.
